Those 2 little skills are the keys to opening up the potential of every suit and creating the fully functional fits every working merc needs. Since thats the case, I think they're priced properly SP wise. If anything having them be expensive keeps the investment a serious, conscious decision that reflects a merc having progressed and realized fully the impact pg and cpu have on fitting. If you want "to help the new players" maybe emphasize the importance of investment in ALL the core skills in the dropsuit upgrades tree and less on w/e fotm suit+weapon combo is going around. Fits change, but cores are forever (until some qq thread f's them, that is).

Apothecary Za'ki wrote:+1 i like it and will be a good start for newer players to get more pg/cpu to fit dropsuits easier as fitting a newbie scout is murder and will need much more cpu/pg for CHARLIE heavys too and i believe assault suits since they are gaining more slots..no idea on logi suit change release though.
and for you vets with more SP then sense... suck it up and dont cry about it.
The skills are there now for those who recognize the impact and want to make the gains. Cost-wise its right in line with other top-tier skillsets especially considering that the benefit is a passive, applied to ALL suits ALL the time boost AND access to modules which when equipped boost the stats up even farther.
And for you scrub forum QQers with more tears than wherewithal to actually learn the ins and outs of the game, keep eating the shitsandwich you get served racing to get your no-cores protogear so a full-cores starter suit can still **** your skillless face AND drive you bankrupt.

Fits change, but cores are forever (until some qq thread f's them, that is). I kind of agree with you too. I say reduce it a little bit because there is really no help with this game for a new player. so it gives them a little room to recover from potential wasted sp and benefits fitting requirements for when they do figure out how to set up a suit. There are pros and cons on this one.
It aint easy being new, that's a given and a carryover from the EVEOnline design mentality. Quite frankly tho, since the suit stats and fitting costs a benefits are all listed before you actually commit to anything, it makes for an excellent filtering of players since people too stupid or too impatient to actually crunch the data wash out or stay in the lower progression ranges leaving the remaining pool of players at a higher intellectual average which makes for smarter, more intense competition.
I was PISSED when I first got my MinLogi mk0 and couldn't fit it for ****. Then I realized not just the importance of doing the damn math but doing it BEFORE spending. Not to mention the impact on Logistics pg/cpu has, and not to mention the impact investment in Core Skills has on all the fits. Am I an ******* letting noobs find this out for themselves? No, any opportunity I have I tell noobs to skip the proto and invest in Cores! I tell vets to invest in Cores! Are Cores cheap? No, but considering the benefit why would they be? Considering the benefit, why SHOULD they be? You want easy, brainless progression and easy, brainless combat there are a million other shooters out there with pretty graphics and no substance. You want a game where as you progeess you find yourself competing against people ALSO progressed making for some of the craziest most intense battles you'll find online? Stick around, do the work, ignore he bs'ers and QQers and Welcome Home.
